With high gasoline prices comes gasoline saving scams: HydroStar (turn water into fuel instantly!), various additives, engine mods, and hocus pocus magic magnets (proprietary quantum holograms change gasoline's molecular structure!).

The usual criminals are involved, undoubtably along with a whole new crowd of bottom feeding dirtbags.

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission has a web page listing many of the quack remedies they know about and that have been tested by the Environmental Protection Agency.

The AAA has a good list of gas saving tips. Even if you think you know how to save gasoine, it's a good idea to review their suggestions.

The best, most reliable and most economic way to save gasoline is to drive less. Ride a bike if you can! I realize the weather is getting cold, but gloves and hat solve that problem quickly.
