I recently created SF Bike Love.

My hope is that it will be a place for us here in San Francisco to talk about bikes and plan rides, and out of town visitors to find out about rides and bikes to use while in town.

You are wasting no time at all. Good on ya'... I learned that in Australia... along with other things I shouldn't mention here.
That was Kori who posted about the SF BIke Love forum, although she's also a newcomer to the area from Seattle. She moved here about two months ago or so I think.

This is Kori's pink bike. I absolutely love it but I don't think I could ever ride it.
That bike is hot!
hey, thanks!

i built it just as i wanted it and i really have loved riding it.

this is my favorite photo of that bike and the rest of the photos of that bike can be found here.

(i went through the trouble of finding the perfect pink and red things so i like to show it off.)

as for the website, i miss this community a lot. i was sad to leave point83 behind but also eager to start something new and awesome in san francisco. when i arrived i did much research and found mainly the following:

-unorganized sub-groups of bikeforum
-fixed gear people on myspace
-super snobby fixed messengers
-gay/lesbian group
-squid racer group(s)

i think there should be a specific forum online and group in real life for people who simply like bikes and bike people, who aren't snobby, and mainly reside in san francisco.
Kori- you're on to something, so keep it up.

The bike is beautiful. Bike passion is a wonderful, wonderful thing.
thank you for the wonderful compliment.

we can call it passion but really it is more like addiction.

Does anyone know if there is a possibility to rent a mountainbike in San francisco and then return it after a week drop off)in LA??
I'm travelling from Europe to SF and want to do some mountainbiking along the way (get out of the car here and there)Any tips on what to do?
12 times, I have cycled 7 days, 575 miles, from San Francisco to Los Angeles in a cycling charity event called AIDSLifecycle.

In route to Los Angeles, I (and 2,000 of my best friends) cycle thru Montecito - Santa Barbara, CA. ( Montecito is the home to Oprah Winfrey ). Each Year, the locals of Montecito - Santa Barbara gather and create their own "Paradise Pit Stop" for the approx. 2,000 AIDSLifecycle Cyclist & 400 Volunteer Crew members.

There you can find: chocolate bars, strawberries, homemade ice cream, corn dogs, Twinkies, coco cola, massages, and then some.. ... ALL YOU CAN EAT ...GRATIS! Years ago (as I ate my strawberries and homemade ice cream), I asked several Montecito residents: "Where is Oprah?"

Hi all
My name is Keith and I live in the UK, I would like someone to help me. I am looking for Bertrand Boudreau who lives the San Francisco and cycled around the world with his wife.
I am trying to locate him I met him while I was living in Poland many years ago.
If someone could help me I would be in your debt.
