This is a five-minute video podcast of a press trip held last week in Salzburg, Austria, and hosted by the Austrian tourist board. It features Mozart, Samantha from cycling.tv as Julie Andrews, the Red Bull aviation museum, footage of hundreds of Salzburg cyclists, forty European cycle journalists and a preview of the road and time trial courses at September’s UCI World Road Championships. There’s also news of a mass participation ride tied in with the World Championships.
Check out Twenty20 Camera. They make cameras that mount to your helmet. They sell primarily to motorcycle enthusiasts, but the cameras will mount to a bicycle helmet and they market to downhillers and freeriders and other extreme sport nutcases; speaking of which: I'd like a helmet cam to video my bicycle rides through San Francisco. Here are a couple videos made with the Twenty20 camera here and here (Windows Media files, sorry Mac and Unix users).
Bicycle news, bicycle blogs
The Wall Street Journal tells us bicycle commuting is chic. CNN reports that "Gas prices fuel more bike commuters." Remember, tomorrow (Thursday) is Bike To Work Day in much of the USA. Ironically, I rented a car yesterday and today because I'm apartment hunting.
