This is German Vice Chancellor and Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier touring his home region of Brandenburg cycling on a pedal powered rail cart. Is this cool, or what? I've seen different kinds of rail bikes, but this is the first human powered rail device that can carry several passengers that I've seen.

"Rail Trail." We should rent these instead of bikes on our own rail trail, where the rails have been left in place for a rail car club to use. It makes cycling very dicey in places. Some of the rail cars have motors, but some are powered by a single pedaler.
Is it my imagination, or is the minister pedaling? Methinks our esteemed power brokers would be seated and hope to be carried along by the commonfolks who serve them, hoping so desperately for favor at the end of the day.
