By private enterprise, do you mean they actually got paid? That would be too cool.
Nothing fancy, but I've toted a paper bag and whisk broom out to the spots I use most often and which sometimes get covered with broken glass.

I guess private enterprise versus public works. I suppose volunteer would be more accurate.
