Weekday bicycling rates have increased 118 percent since 1999 and the number of pedestrians has risen 51 percent in that same period, based on counts taken for a federally funded pilot program designed to encourage bicycle and pedestrian transportation.
San Jose, California: Triplets of Belleville this Thursday night at Bike to the Movies.
Boulder County, Colorado: Highway 66 through Longmont is again open to bicycles and pedestrians.
Denver, Colorado: Thursday evening at REI in Denver, Jim Sayer from the Adventure Cycling Association will give a presentation on the National Bicycle Route and will talk about good bicycling in general.
