Boris Johnson rides a Pinarello

Mayor of London Boris Johnson rides a geared Pinarello road bicycle around an under-construction velodrome. The velodrome is being built for the 2012 Olympics in Olympic Park in Stratford, London, England. Johnson joined British Olympic medalist Sir Chris Hoy for a visit to the velodrome.

Russia bike patrol

The Chelyabinsk police in Russia have recently launched a bike patrol, which is apparently pretty unusual in Russia. According to the captions provided by ITAR-TASS on these photos, this new bike patrol coincided with a record heat wave across Russia last week.
