Green Party candidate killed in hit & run

30 year old Maryland Green Party Senate candidate Natasha Pettigrew died after she was hit by a Cadillac Escalade while riding her bicycle early Sunday morning. The driver claims she didn’t realize she hit a human being until after she noticed the bicycle lodged under her vehicle, and finally called police an hour after the crash.

Meanwhile in San Jose, California, police suspect a hit-and-run on Zanker Road after a 25 year old cyclist was found dead on the side of the road Tuesday morning.

  1. Have those red bikes got a nickname yet? The London ones are called “Boris Bikes” after the Mayor of London. It is also a verb: to boris is to ride a boris bike across the city.
