Bike To Work Day Website

While me and hundreds of other bike racing fans have been speeding all around California following the Amgen Tour of California, a good many of you have been celebrating Bike Month this week by biking to work on this Bike To Work Day.

The Pedestrian and Bicycle Information Center (PBIC) has recently launched a Bike to Work Website as a resource for bike commuters, event organizers, the media, employers, and others.

Max @ PBIC wanted me to especially highlight the Bike To Work Forum.

San Francisco has long been a great place to ride, and broad-spectrum bicycle infrastructure upgrades have made it even better in the past few years. Miles and miles of new, clearly-marked bike lanes, traffic calming measures, bike boxes, and designated routes that avoid busy streets and go around the steepest hills are just some of the things cyclists in the City by the Bay are smiling about.

One of the oldest and most used of the designated routes in SF is the “Wiggle” . (more…)
