Passing distance vs distance from curb

Study shows gutter bunnies get squeezed; for maximum passing distance, ride three to four feet from the curb. The Florida Department of Transportation published a study [PDF] in which highway researchers measured how much room car and truck drives gave cyclists on Florida roads.

Santa Monica Bike Center

The city of Santa Monica has built a new bicycle transit center. Beginning Real Soon Now, Santa Monica residents, visitors and local employees will enjoy secure indoor bike parking and many cycling-related services located in the parking structures adjacent to Santa Monica Place at 2nd & Colorado and 4th & Broadway.
