Adjustable bike saddle, 1931

Compressed air automagically changes bike saddle height on the fly… in 1931.

Handlebar mounted levers are used to lower or raise the bicycle saddle on a product demonstrated at a geek fest in 1931 London, England.

I presume gravity lowers the saddle when you push the “down” control. The “up” lever operates a pump to supply compressed air inside of a cylinder that’s inside the bicycle frame seat tube.

And… is that a camera lens poking from the back of that saddle bag?
