Bicycle jobs 10/10/2011

I don’t usually post local bike shop jobs, but this one seems a little above par: Mission Bicycle Company in San Francisco seeks “Enthusiastic Customer Service Representative.”

Their Craigslist job posting says:

Bikelingualist: You speak the language, you live it and you own it. We’re looking for certified bicycle commuters. Industry experience isn’t necessary but a high level of enthusiasm and passion are.

Mission Bicycle also has an opening for office help.

KMTP “Multicultural TV” in San Francisco seeks bike riding reporters to cover the SF Mayor election on an electric bicycle (provided by bicycle sponsors). Candidate will interview, report from bicycles, tour S.F. neighborhoods and canvas the candidates neighbors. Candidates must own an iPhone and be able to edit. More here.

SEO for bike rental website.

“Brand Ambassadors” (aka Booth Babes) needed for bicycle promotion at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Must be attractive, well groomed, and fit. Pay for standing all day looking pretty is $16/hour.

Stunz Graphics in Los Angeles has openings for “bicycle riders.” That’s the only thing they say about that.

WTB in Mill Valley is hiring an office worker / receptionist.

Valencia based publisher seeks design artist with knowledge of the off-road motorcycle and/or bicycle industries.

There’s the usual openings for bike patrol people in Tucson, Vallejo (at the California Maritime Academy), Lancaster PA, Los Angeles.

This is always a good sign of quality: a contracter that services U.S. military bases seeks a part time “bicycle and outdoor furniture assembler” at Little Rock AFB and Carswell AFB by Fort Worth.

God speed and good luck on your job hunt.
