A fellow cyclist, ultimate frisbee player and friend to Charles Shaffer installed a ghost bike in his memory in Campbell, California last week.

Charles Shaffer of Cupertino was killed while crossing Campbell Avenue on his bicycle last July 26, 2012. Another cyclist, Alejandro Ramos, was killed the next day less than a mile away in a hit and run involving a small, white SUV near Westgate Mall.

The ghost bike builder, who wishes to remain anonymous, says she plans to build and install a ghost bike for Ramos.
