FREE Custom framebuilder show San Francisco THIS WEEKEND

A selection of leading bicycle manufacturers will display their products in the Local Custom Frame Builder Show, held at the Sandbox Warehouse in San Francisco’s Potrero Hill district, October 20, 2012.

Custom Frame Builders Show San Francisco October 20 2012

The event is organized jointly by local bicycle builder Bicycle Fabrications and Ride SFO, a San Francisco-based event management company.

Philipp Segura, of Ride SFO, said, “The San Francisco Bay Area contains many of the cycling world’s most respected craftspeople. This is a local-focus event for people in the Bay Area to come and meet frame builders and component manufacturers, get to know them a little, see the amazing work that comes out of tiny workshops around the Bay, and have a good time in a very informal setting. It’s more of a party than a formal event.”

The event runs 12 noon – 6 p.m. Saturday October 20th at the Sandbox Warehouse, 132 Missouri St, San Francisco. Admission is Free. The location is one block south of Embarcadero BART, one block west of Don Chee Way/Steuart F-Market Muni, and an easy 1.5 mile bike ride along the Embarcadero from 4th & King Caltrain. The nearest Caltrain station is 22nd Street, from where you can walk or bike a half mile to the venue. 16th Street seems to be the nearest BART station; the 22 Muni bus towards Potrero Hill will get you within a block. I know nothing about cycling in that neighborhood so can’t offer advice in that regard, but Google Maps should be at least somewhat helpful. How bad can traffic be on a Sunday?
