SPD casual street shoes at NAHBS

Cyclelogical, the Milwaukee company that specializes in lifestyle bicycle bags, bicycle accessories, and bicycle clothing for the bike commuter, introduced a casual street shoe drilled for SPD cleats at NAHBS in Sacramento last weekend.

Casual leather shoe with cleat holes

This made-in-the-Midwest leather shoe, which Cyclelogical tentatively calls “Americano” (like the coffee drink, get it?) will likely last you a lifetime. They’re still working out production and distribution details, but pricing will likely be somewhere around $200. That’s pretty good for a hand made leather shoe.

These are not quite my style but it’s great to see normal looking shoes that are SPD-compatible out there. Let’s hope they’ll be a success and they will expand their product line.

For that price, I’d rather get the even more stylish Dromarti.

They are SPD and not even blazing bright colors! I have the PI Fuel shoes and they are great for walking around in without clacking, but I had to get over the fact that they were bright red.

But the big question is… will they go click…click…click as I walk?

no, i do not “get” what you mean about “Americana” somehow being “like the coffee drink,” presumably an americano.

Typo. Will fix. Typed in on a phone while riding a train across the Delta.
