Universal Bicycle

Brooklyness is a small Brooklyn bike shop designing and selling bikes for the urban environment. They’ve just launched an interesting Kickstarter for an adjustable bicycle they call the Universal Bike.

The idea is to get perfect fit on a mass produced bike for just about any style of riding. I’m personally intrigued with the possibility of playing with head tube and seat angles to get a visceral feel for their effect on handling.

Brooklyness offers incentives for various levels of support. Complete bikes start at $895 for a limited quantity early bird special.

  1. Seems like it would be useful as a higher-end bike share option, with GPS embedded in the frame for tracking and everything pit-locked.
