The Sacramento Grand Prix took place around the Capitol building in Sacramento as a prelude to today’s Amgen Tour of California Stage 1 finish. The winner of the one hour women’s criterium, Coryn Rivera for Team Peanut Butter and Company, is a 17 year old national champion with gold medals in Road, Track and Cyclocross. read more »

Emilia Fahlin of Sweden, the youngest member of Team Columbia-Highroad, won the women’s criterium race as thousands cheered on the racers in Santa Rosa Sunday afternoon. 2009 Amgen Tour of California route details

AEG revealed the route details for the 2009 Amgen Tour of California this morning. As was revealed in the Santa Rosa Democrat earlier this week, the race will start in Sacramento with a Prologue instead of a full blown stage as earlier planned.
