VTA budget notes

The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) are working on their biennial budget for fiscal 2014 and 2015. VTA’s fiscal year begins on July 1. Here are my quick observations from selections of the draft budget.

Here’s a list of bikey stuff that’s caught my eye over this past year. My suggestions tend toward the practical because that’s the kind of guy I am, so take note that the special cyclist in your life might appreciate something a little more symbolic than a new bike light.

Minivelo style bicycles from Organic Wheels and Rad Innovations. “Minivelo” bicycles are bicycles with small, 20″ wheels but with road or city / hybrid bike design influences rather than the BMX bike look.
