California New Year weekend traffic report

The California Highway Patrol reported 19 traffic fatalities occurred over the 2012 / 2013 New Year weekend. The lone cyclist fatality, Jonathan Coontz of Orange County, was killed in a bike-vs-bike collision on the Santa Ana River Trail just after the CHP’s reporting period began last Friday evening.
