A man from Redwood City California (just one city north of where I work on the San Francisco Peninsula) impersonated a federal immigration official to extort $50,000 from some relatives. The SF Chronicle says Frank Salvador Solorza was arrested after taking the payoff while riding a child’s bicycle “dressed in a clown suit, a clown glitter wig, a Pirates of the Caribbean hat (complete with dreadlocks) and sunglasses.”
