The ultimate Napa Valley cycling experience featuring gourmet food, world class wines, and bike riding mentored by Levi Leipheimer.
The Napa County Bicycle Coalition invites you to participate in the 2011 Legendary Napa Bike Wine Tour Friday, November 11, 2011 – 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. It sounds pretty amazing: Breakfast at Solbar in Calistoga; bike 40 miles for lunch at Vineyard 29 in St. Helena; ten mile ride to the next wine testing, finish the ride by joining Clif Bar founder Gary Erickson at his Velo Vino for espresso and desserts.
“I am delighted to lead this small group on a tour around some of my favorite roads in the whole world,” says Levi Leipheimer about this exclusive tour. “This is my backyard, I love it, and I’ve called in a quite a few favors to make this day absolutely unforgettable.”
Cost is $1500, with all proceeds going to the Napa County Bike Coalition. Napa is the least populated Bay Area county, and so has always received the smallest share of transportation funding, especially for bicycle infrastructure. Napa County’s roads are, however, heavily impacted by visitors as the 3rd most visited destination in California.
