You can’t help but wonder what the breaking doping scandals, confessions, and sackings have done for ticket sales for The Levi Effect, a movie and panel discussion about pro cyclist Levi Leipheimer.
In response, the film promoters have promised “to keep up on current events as we edited this film and we can assure you that the documentary does not shy away from the recent doping scandals that have plagued professional cycling. Quite the opposite, in fact.”
For the panel discussion following, “Levi will return with some of his friends for an in-depth panel discussion about the current state of professional cycling and what the future of the sport looks like. Panelists include actor Patrick Dempsey, cyclist Tom Danielson, filmmaker Frank Matson, and others.”
Tuesday only at select theaters. Click through to the Levi Effect for venues and tickets. In Santa Cruz, the Levi Effect shows 7:30 PM at the Regal Santa Cruz 9 on Pacific Avenue.

I’m going. I may hate myself in the morning, but I’m going to go. After all, it is a movie with bicycles. Plus, I think I’ll just blame Lance for any Levi transgressions.
