Autumn showers

What a marvelously rainy weekend!

We had an honest to goodness rain storm over the weekend where in live in the Santa Cruz Mountains, complete with lightning and thunder! This storm even knocked the NOAA Doppler weather radar up on Mt Umunhum out of commission. NOAA station KMUX provides Nexrad Doppler for the entire San Francisco Bay and Monterey Bay regions; local weather forecasters are using KDAX in Sacramento as a backup until the Santa Clara county radar comes back online.
