The North American Handmade Bicycle Show 2013 begins Friday in Denver, Colorado. Cyclelcious will be there to shoot photos and talk to the builders.
It occurs to me that NAHBS is the perfect opportunity for local builders to get word of their craft out to people outside of the endemic cycling media. You all really should send a press release to your local media to let them know what you do. You have a compelling story that people outside of the small world of bike nerds would like to know about.
Here are examples of local, non-bike media mentioning locals attending NAHBS:
- Fort Collins Coloradoan: Fort Collins’ bike builders represent city at Denver’s North American Handmade Bicycle Show.
- Boulder Daily Camera: Boulder-area companies prepare for North American Handmade Bicycle Show.
- Examiner: Handmade bicycle show a boon for small businesses.
- Twin Falls (Idaho) Times-News: Quest for Perfect Ride Takes Man to the World of Handmade Bicycles.
