Happy Hump Day, all. I have a pro-tip for those of you who load bikes onto front-loading bike racks on public transportation before I begin this edition of bike photos in the news. Those bus bike racks have a spring loaded arm that’s used to secure the bike in place. Sometimes, the lock pin used to secure this arm falls out, so ensure that swing arm is secure. This morning, I lost this arm for the second time in about 300,000 miles of riding the bus with my bike. The bike stayed on the tray both times, but it doesn’t hurt to ensure the lever is in place ahead of time.

Happy Happy Hump Day. We had another wonderful San Jose Bike Train this morning, with three of our seven riders wearing argyle with absolutely no pre-planning whatsoever on our apparel because we’re so awesomely in tune with each other. I also learned from Janet that the Mountain View City Council approved a new city bike plan at their meeting last night.
Find more bike news below the photo of our cycleliciously argyle-clad gams.
Happy Monday. I can handle rain, sleet, lightning, thunder, wet socks, but then I arrive at the office this morning and discover the coffee maker is broken! I fear this combined with those red Starbucks anti-Christ cups littering the trail are portents of evil tidings.
Look for a brief collection of Monday bike news below this morning’s appropriately-portenous view from my back porch.
Hi all. Is it finally autumn in California?
Remember, San Jose Bike Train runs this Wednesday, November 4 at 8 AM from San Jose Diridon Station, with a pickup shortly thereafter from Bel Bacio Cafe. The trails should be dry by then. More bike news below the photo of our last Bike Train, which took place on Back to the Future Day.
