Biking to the Chicago Olympics was disappointingly absent or under-planned. The Bid Book said that bicyclists could ride their bikes to their nearest transit station and board the trains (like many do now for whatever reason), or they could bike to the transit stations nearest the event and board a shuttle bus.
The Olympic “Perimeter” had a 1.5 mile radius so you could only bike in to a train station that was 1.5 miles out and then take the shuttle bus.

…looks to be a “tall” unicycle attached to that rig for use later…
