Paagan is a buddy film comedy about a boy, his bicycle, and his numerous get rich quick schemes. Like all South Indian “Kollywood” films, there’s music and dancing girls, too.

“Paagan” is apparently some kind of Tamil pun for “mahout” — that is, an elephant caretaker. South Asian mahouts bond to their elephants through life from childhood. In the same way, this film shows a boy’s love for his bike as it accompanies him through his many misadventures.
