The 54 year old Fire Chief for the City of San Jose rides a nicely maintained Miyata road bike during a San Jose Bike Party ride.

William “Willie” McDonald began his firefighting career in Fremont, California in 1978. After running the new fire department in Scottsdale AZ for six years, McDonald returned to the Bay Area in 2010 to head up San Jose’s 700 person fire department.
