Another bikepool (think “carpool,” but with bikes) begins this Wednesday for commuters traveling from the vicinity of downtown San Jose, CA to the North First area, with morning departure from Diridon Station, and an evening trip leaving from Tasman Road at the Guadalupe River Trail.
lupebikepool (named for Lupe the Mammoth, whose statue can be found on the Guadalupe River Trail at Trimble Road) is a free morning and evening bicycle group-commute program along the Guadalupe River Trail in San Jose. Ride to and from work with your coworkers and neighbors, utilizing a fun, safe, and inclusive service. Bikepools are scheduled on the second Wednesday of every month, and are led by experienced and trained ride leaders.
lupebikepool takes place the second Wednesday of every month to complement the twice-monthly San Jose Bike Train.
Rides begin promptly at these times:
Northbound (Morning):
Location 1: 7:30am — Diridon Caltrain Station (near Bike Share Pod)
Location 2: 7:40am — Bel Bacio (Little Italy)
Southbound (Evening):
Location 1: 5:10pm — Guadalupe Trail @ Tasman
Location 2: 5:20pm — Guadalupe Trail @ River Oaks
Of course I’ll be there for this first ride.
