First of all, a huge THANK YOU to Mark with the Orbea. He saved my life this morning. Okay, I exaggerate, but here’s the story.
The cheap Giant minipump I bought last November failed. I might dissect it later, but pumping the handle produces no pressure. I see a stranger roll onto Caltrain with an old Topeak frame pump (the one modeled after Zefal HP) strapped to the top tube of his new Orbea. The stranger (now known as Mark the Orbea guy) lets me use his pump. Thank you, Mark!
Happy Birthday to Darryl of Loving The Bike. He also has a guessing game: Guess the ages of the cyclists pictured (including me!) Do I really look like I’m 50+?

San Jose Bike Party this this Friday Night. A little birdy tells me that Bike Snob NYC will be there. You can also meet Mr Weiss at Barnes and Nobles Bookstore on Stevens Creek Blvd (at San Tomas Expwy) for a book signing Friday evening at 6:30 PM.
