Suction cup car bike rack for quick release bike transportation.
Seasuckers makes vacuum cup mounts for marine environments as a way to attach rod holders, dive racks and other accessories to boats without drilling any holes.
They now have a “Seasucker Automotive” line of mounts to easily and quickly attach your bike to the car.
Seasuckers are not sucker cups — they are vacuum cups with integrated pumps. A single 4½ inch cup is rated to hold 120 lbs; each 6 inch cup is rated to 210 lbs.
Seasucker has racks with their vacuum cups for rooftop, hatchback, trunk and pickup truck mounts.

wow not that well.. but then again i’m not sure i trust my glass in the car that well….
I do not, in general, trust my bike rack. This is why I am always looking over my shoulder when it’s there, etc.
On the other hand, given that I’ve seen an expensive road bike sitting on the highway because it fell off the back of somebody’s car ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/cyberspace/3332722825/ ) I think I’m somewhat justified.
Impressive.
No, don’t trust my (trailer hitch mounted) bike rack.
Being a good engineer means always looking for ways that something might go wrong–and in this case there’s one bolt, and several pins, any of which by coming loose could send all of my family’s bikes scattered on the road.
I always add on a few bungies and tie-down straps.
