Sidewalk Cycling video

A nice, informative video from the Chicago Department of Transportation on sidewalk cycling and safety.

Chicago’s sidewalk restriction may or may not apply to your locale, but the video’s other main point that sidewalk cycling adds to your risk is fairly universal.

Eat your heart out, Hollywood — THAT is some A-list acting right there!

Seriously, though, my city (Columbia, MO) has pretty much the same laws, it sounds like. Even so, I can't tell you how many jerks yell “get on the sidewalk” as they drive by me on the road.

Yeah same here in upstate NY. That's the most commonly yelled thing at me.

We're super helpful to tourists, for sure. I've directed people at least 10 times in the four years I've lived here. And they approached me!
