Some people think I’m kind of weird for riding a carbon road bike on dirt singletrack.
That’s me on a sandy trail in the Santa Cruz mountains.
Check this video out, though. Once you get past the Bike Radar stuff at the beginning, British trials rider Martyn Ashton takes a Raleigh Avanti carbon fiber road bike on the road, and to the beach, and over boulders and along bridge railings.
