Among the bikes on display at today’s Fashion Center bike unveiling as this bike from (appropriately enough) the New York Fashion Center.

The back box has a map of New York’s transit system pasted onto it, along with thousands of buttons glued to the bike frame. This “Big Button Bike” is a tribute to the Fashion Center’s famous Big Button Information Kiosk on the northeast corner of Fashion (7th) Avenue and 39th Street.

Bowery Lane Bicycles provided the bikes, and designers added their own flair to the bikes for use during New York’s Fashion Week. Photos are Copyright 2011 Kathy Akey and used here with her permission. More coming soon!
