‘Free’ books for Kindle, but…

Oh, this is evil!

Amazon now offers a lending library of books that’s included with Amazon Prime membership. I have the Kindle app on my Android phone, but this lending library doesn’t work for that — you must own an actual Kindle device!

The cheapest, sponsored Kindleruns only $79. Oh, how they tempt me.

Disclosure: I might get a piece of the action of you order from Amazon via the above links.

Any thoughts about the Kindle Fire?  Seems like it might pretty decent.

The overdrive app (I don’t know if they have an android app), as well as third party apps like stanza have enabled ePub borrowing of library books for years. Kindle is just late to the party with it’s format restricted device.

Ive been reading nothing but library books on my nook, then iPhone, then iPad, for over two years.
