The reality of debt

The GM ad aimed at those loser college kids on bikes, as reported at Bike Portland.

GM Bike Car advertisement published in college newspapers

Russ Roca’s parody, as posted to his Facebook page.

Which is fantasy, and which presents reality?

Not sure why the kid in the ad is covering his face. I’m a fat old guy that rides his bike to work, and when the women I work with see my bike in my office I constantly get comments like “that’s so cool that you ride you’re bike!”, “Wow, I can’t believe that you do that!”. The guy’s all ask what I’m riding, how long have I been riding… I can’t imagine ever being ashamed of doing what I can to be a not-so-fat guy, as well as saving a few bucks on gas. GM sucks.

Cyclists just plain have more attractive butts. ¬†You can’t buy one of those, even with a student discount and GMAC financing.
