Santa Clara County Supervisor Ken Yeager rides his bike to his county office on a daily basis.
I ran into him at the Bike To Work Day Energizer Station on Hedding at 1st Street in San Jose, where he showed up just as I rolled in. He’s the guy in the VTA jersey. He says that jersey is “very rare.”
I told him I appreciated his support for public transportation and cycling improvements in Santa Clara County.
Yeager represents the 4th District, which includes the cities of Campbell and Santa Clara, as well as west San Jose and the Burbank and Cambrian neighborhoods. He was appointed to the California Air Resources Board in 2008, and Yeager is a member of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District board. You’ll also see Yeager at VTA board meeetings and Caltrain JPB meetings.
