The Rails to Trails Conservancy in Washington DC works to establish a national network of trails.  They also support active transportation by any means.  Rails to Trails are the folks who donated bike facility map data to Google to get Google’s bicycle map project up abd running.

Jake Lynch at Rails to Trails is creating a mailing list of Bloggers, Amplifiers, Advocates and Writers.  If you write about active transportation in your area – that’s cycling, hiking, walking, and I suppose even skating and skiing – for a blog, zine, or newspaper, he wants to get in touch.
