The other day somebody made a time machine joke on the bus. I tweeted about it; Erik Griwold tweeted “Too bad DeLorean did not make buses.”

But guess what?

According to Autoblog, this brochure for the DMC-80 city bus advertises DeLorean’s abortive attempt to break into what they saw as a lucrative market. DeLorean planned to manufacture the buses in the United States using a low floor, wide door design licensed from Fahrzeugwerkstätten Falkenried GmbH (FFG) in Hamburg, Germany.
