Free active transportation grant workshop in San Jose

California’s new Active Transportation Program makes $180 million in state funds available across the state for walking and biking infrastructure, planning, or education programs. The Safe Routes to School National Partnership will hold a free Active Transportation Grant Workshop at San Jose, CA City Hall on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM to help program coordinators learn how to apply for these grants.

Participants will be provided with a “toolkit” with FAQs. Topics include:

  • Overview of the application timeline
  • Program guidelines, sample application questions and scoring
  • Best practices on gathering data
  • Tips and tools for a successful plan, project, or program application.
