San Jose Bike Train rolls from Diridon Station to points north along the Guadalupe River Trail beginning at 8 AM on the first and third Wednesday of every month. We would love to have you join us this Wednesday morning, May 21 2014.
In the context of bike commuting, a Bike Train is a regularly scheduled group ride with a ride leader (aka the “conductor”). Like other forms of transit, a bike train is meant to be a dependable and routine mode of transportation. This train runs at a social (10 to 12 MPH) pace and we welcome all styles of bikes. apparel, and body shapes. We have a mixed group of men and women on all types of bikes. Bike Train operates rain or shine.
San Jose Bike Train connects with ACE Train 03, Caltrain 208, 210 and 312; and Capitol Corridor 521. If your train is running late and you’d like to join up on the bike train, ping us before the 8 AM start either on Twitter or on Facebook and we’ll wait up for you.
Other connecting transit services into and near San Jose Diridon include:
- Highway 17 Express from Santa Cruz
- MST 55 from Monterey
- VTA 22 & 522 (El Camino Real / Alum Rock), 63 (SJSU), 64 (Almaden LRT / McKee & White via Willow Glen), 65 (Kooser / Hedding), 68 & 168 (Gilroy & Morgan Hill), 81 & 181 (SJSU/ Vallco), and DASH
- VTA Light Rail Mountain View / Winchester line.
This is a fun, mellow group. Hope to you there on Wednesday!
