San Jose west side love TONIGHT

Sorry about the last minute notice but I just heard about this.

Moorpark Avenue bikeways meeting San Jose

San Jose DOT will present their proposal for a 4-3 lane reduction on Moorpark Avenue TONIGHT at the West Valley Branch Library, 1243 San Tomas Aquino Road, San Jose CA.

The lane reduction is for Moorpark between Saratoga Avenue and Williams Road. New bike lanes will also be installed on Moorpark between Saratoga and Lawrence Expressway. Moorpark is the east-west road immediately south of I-280 at Saratoga.

I had heard the previous city council member representing this location had shot down an earlier lane reduction project for Moorpark, so I’m glad to see the city taking another stab at this. I am very familiar with this road and area and wish I could make this meeting but I didn’t bring lights for my bike today.

Meeting starts at 7:30 PM and runs until 9 PM.
