Therapy for bike commuters

They do therapy for people who are afraid to drive a car, so why not something similar for cycling?

Did you know Stanford University offers counseling to people who want to try more “eco-friendly” transportation and need encouragement? Here’s the course description from the Stanford School of Medicine Health Improvement Program (HIP).

Cycology?

The instructor, Jane Rosten, is Environmental Behavior Change Manager for HIP and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), which means she is credentialed by the state of California’s Board of Behaviorial Health to provide counseling. I don’t know the details of this beyond the class description here, but I’ll try to contact the counselor who teaches this class and fill you in on the details.

Rosten is also one of the instructors for the winter cycling class taking place next Tuesday.
