San Jose Guadalupe River Park Conservancy seeks trail ambassadors

The Guadalupe River Park Conservancy (GRPC) in San Jose, California seeks volunteers for their newly launched trail ambassador program.

Trail ambassadors patrol the Guadalupe River Trail between Coleman Avenue and I-880 on foot or on bike to act as the eyes, ears and friendly face of the park. Volunteers help report issues along the trails, hand out trail maps to other trail users, and be a friendly presence in the park. The commitment is mostly flexible but requires at least 45 minutes a week. Volunteers will be required to wear a green patrol vest.

For more information and to sign up, visit the trail ambassador program web page. The Conservancy also seeks volunteers for other continuing projects such as the monthly river cleanup.

The private Guadalupe River Park Conservancy organization acts as the stewards and advocates of the Guadalupe River Park and Gardens, working to raise awareness and connect people with the park through their programs.
