Bay Area transit on Memorial Day Holiday

BART @ Powell Street

A selection of Bay Area transit service notes for Memorial Day on May 27, 2013.

Street Fight: The politics of mobility in San Francisco

Can somebody buy this book and tell me about it?

The book by San Francsico State University Associate Professor in Environmental Studies Dr Jason Henderson covers the politics of San Francisco’s “Transit First” policy, along with the reality that automobiles continue to dominate the streets of San Francisco in spite of significant strides by livability advocates.

Locals can attend the book launch this Friday, April 19 at The 3rd Floor of McRoskey Mattress Factory, 1687 Market St, San Francisco beginning at 7 PM. 5 PM gets you in the door, or buy the book and get in for free.

Spinster: A cycling psycho thriller

Kristen Tieche is a genuine bike person and a friend, and she’s legit as a film producer. I supported her psycho-thriller “Spinster”; I hope you will too.

Kristin describes “The Spinster” as a psychological thriller that follows a cycle vixen in search of true love into the dark, shadowy depths of romance. Does the protagonist’s “Maneater” t-shirt foreshadow something something a little more literal?

Go ahead already and pledge a few dollars to complete her film. It’ll be good, I promise!
