I was flipping through the March issue of Momentum magazine and noticed this coupon: $100 off of a bicycle from Mission Bicycle in San Francisco. What do you think of the ad?
That’s a pretty good discount. That ad says you need to bring it in for the discount. Luckily, there are quite a few locations in The City for a hard copy of Momentum, and a bike can be cheaper than a year’s worth of Muni monthly passes.
I think the message might be missed. Aesthetically, it's really, really nice. But, between page placement, great design, and no second call to action in the copy, it's easy to overlook what they're giving away.
Mission bicycle is ridiculously overpriced anyways. Its like having a coupon for a 100k volkswagen bug.
