Bike share for NY Fashion Week

Midtown Manhattan’s Fashion District teams up with Bowery Lane Bicycles to provide bikes for fashionistas and fans during the Spring 2012 Fashion Week coming up in New York City, September 8-15, 2011.

Fashion Week Tour de Fashion

The Fashion District bought 30 USA crafted bikes from Bowery Lane Bicycles and handed them to some of New York’s top fashion designers. They have a month to embellish the bikes before unveiling them at the Fashion District Tour de Fashion on September 7, 2011.

These bikes will be available for anyone to ride from a staffed docking station at the Lincoln Center’s Broadway entrance. A security deposit will be required to ensure the bike’s safe return.

Finally, I think it’s cool that Fashion Week directions emphasize public transportation options, with driving directions given as an afterthought by linking to another page.
