While those of you in the U.S. Midwest and South swelter with record heat, La Niña cold water conditions in the Pacific Ocean coupled with a crazy jet stream delivering arctic air straight to the California coast has resulted in cold and rain for us in California. The radio weather forecaster began laughing like a crazy man and lost it on the air this morning. Me, I’ll just get on my bike and ride.
La Niña is now weakening and the jet stream is shifting back north to Canada, so we should begin to see a little sunshine in California soon.
