I see bus drivers wave at each other all of the time in Santa Cruz and San Jose. In Texas, it’s common for people out on rural two lanes to raise a salute from their pickup trucks as they pass.

I wave at nearly everyone. I like to pierce the veil of indifference in a vain attempt to become a person in other road users minds. It generally works and I have experienced a lot lower incidences of road rage.
I like to ring my bell. Sometimes I wave. Sometimes both.
