Tyler is a confessed doper, cheater, and liar. Is there any evidence that anything he says in this book is truthful?
Hell no.
Heck no – – – er, I mean “HELL NO!”
I’d be afraid I’d catch some nasty disease if I even touched it..
I think I will, considering I bought Pharmstrong’s works of fiction
…definitely be interested in perusing it…
…waiting to hear what mike anderson, betsy & frankie & various others have to say about it…
…& tyler, like other riders when caught doping, tried to preserve both job & legacy by initially lying but in coming clean, they’ve all had to endure years of relentless discredit & character assassination by cancer jesus’s legal team…
…the preservation & bolstering of his reputation at their expense may just have been the final straw…
…only a sociopath could perpetuate a lie over & over, year after year, with the end justifying the means & peronally, i don’t think that tyler, floyd, big george & others are sociopaths…i believe finally revealing the truth offers them peace of mind beyond their retirement…
That depends on the details. If he gives a very detailed account of how they doped, you can be pretty certain it is truthful.
Why would Armstrong pay nearly half a million dollars (documented) to an Italian hematologist (who has been convicted of helping athletes dope) for “coaching?”
…how about you, fritz ???…what’s your take ???…
I plan to read it. Hamilton has nothing to hide from what I can tell, and there’s no benefit for him to make this stuff up, right?
…at this point, i believe that to be true…essentially, the truth has been out for a long time but guys like armstrong, along with the complicit uci have the resources & the position to keep denying there ever was a ‘real’ problem but it’s become like ‘whack a mole’ where the issue keeps constantly popping it’s head up & these guys can’t knock it down fast enough…
…if you haven’t read the comments by former pro jorg jaksche posted recently, give them a quick perusal…
… http://www.cyclingnews.com/features/jorg-jaksche-doping-hypocrisy-and-a-dog-called-bella …
…one of many reformers speaking the obvious truth…
…pat mccquaid is so self serving in his wishy washy stance, i think he’s become an absolute laughing stock & rather than preserving the sport, he’s fed the situation wherein the general population now has little faith in cycling…
…we’re only slightly saved by the fact that they also now have little faith in the big popular ‘major’ sports as well…
…
other than to sell books 🙂
Lance has sold his share of books and other merchandise too, right? and with a very different story.
I just finished the audio book. It is an amazing look inside the sport we love. It is sad, tragic and amazing. This book is really well written, rare in teh sports book genre. Read it NOW. Then let’s talk.
Agreed. I’m reading it now and it blows the doors off of everything that happened. I posted a short excerpt here:

Great read, Dan Coyle is an excellent writer. Did we really think cyclist athletes can ignore the big money temptation when the governing body is inept at catching them and there is big money available to fight the results when they get caught? I wonder who the riders were that finished all those tours in 35th or 40th place riding the tour clean and should have legitimately won the race?
yeah but you said “there’s no benefit for him to make this stuff up, right?” and selling books is a benifit
